ABOUT THE ARTIST

Michael Maximilian Heinz alias Michael Max is a self-employed photographer and adventurer born 1990 in Ludwigsburg, Germany.

After a high school and business degree in Switzerland Michael decided to join the LIK Photo & Design Akademie Vienna in 2014 which helped him advance his technical knowledge in digital Photography. In 2015 he went to Dublin to attend Griffith College and obtain a degree in Applied Digital Media. 2016, having spent a year in Ireland Michael embarked on a journey through India, ultimately arriving in Sri Lanka where he created photo projects focused on socio-economic topics in urban as well as rural regions. The time in Sri Lanka had a particular great impact on his photography as well as personal life which made him return to the island ever since.

After new adventures Michael moved to Barcelona where he exhibited photos from his projects including the photo series “Mumbai Nights” and “Jungle Fires” in 2019.
Currently based in Germany and Austria Michael is partnering up with AK Gallerie Berlin to exhibit and offer his works to the public before starting the journey to central America.
