Albert Merz is an established Swiss artist whose works are held in public exhibitions throughout Europe. His work is influenced by a dynamic cast of artists including Ferdinand Hodler, Joseph Beuys and Sigmar Polke. With a calculated process, Merz focuses on representing structured
objects contrasted by wild bursts of color. His paintings are interested in transforming archetypes into signs and symbols and achieving an overall sharp and intriguing aesthetic.
